Comhrá
An tEarrach
Taitníonn an t-earrach go mór liom. Cloisim ceol na n-éan agus feicim na huain ag damhsa sna páirceanna. Bíonn an aimsir ag dul i bhfeabhas.
Tosaíonn Daidí agus Mamaí ag obair sa ghairdín. Déanann Mamaí druil fhada. Cuidím féin agus mo dheirfiúr, Máire leo. Cuireann Daidí glasraí sa ghairdín. Cuireann sé leitís, oinniúin, cairead, píseanna agus pónairí. Ní dhéanann sé dearmad ar na prátaí.
Tosaím ag gearradh an fhéir le lomaire faiche san earrach. Is crua an obair í ach is cuma liom. Tuillim a lán airgid sa séasúr seo.
Report Writing
Here are some samples of report writing by 3rd and 4th Class:
Quokkas
Quokkas are native to Western Australia. They are mammals. Their scientific name is setonix brachyurus.
They have thick, coarse, grey- brown fur with short, rounded, fluffy ears. Quokkas can weigh2.5 – 5kg, at 45 – 50 cm high.
They live on Rottnest Island in Western Australia. They are restricted to there and are threatened to become extinct.
Quokkas climb trees to find food and like to be in selfies.
Quokkas eat leaves and grass. They are herbivores. They only take the vegetation from their food so they eat double their food.
Quokkas are able to survive in an environment completely devoid of water. They are very unusual animals. They have been used in medical research on muscular dystrophy as they suffer from the same disease.
They are very unique as they can only be found on Rottnest Island.

Lions
Lions look very fierce with a mane. They’re yellow and brown in colour. They live in Asia and Africa. Most of them live in Asia. They live near New Delhi, India. They sleep, roar, eat, drink and tumble.
They are carnivores. This is their diet. It’s Hares, birds, reptiles, zebra, giraffe, rhino, elephants, hogs, buffalo, hippos, wildebeest and impala.
The female lion looks after its cubs always. The female lion roars louder than the male. The male lion is known as the ‘king of the jungle’. They are mammals.

Southern China Tigers
South China tigers are like normal tigers with orange and black with areas of white on face, belly and legs.
They live in south China in jungles and in light areas. They are extremely rare in the wild.
They eat wild boars, deer, monkeys, buffalo and lots of other things I can’t name.
They are 2.3 metres tall and I don’t know how wide they are.
They are good swimmers because they can swim up to 6 metres. They are good hunters too. They can run very fast and are always ready to pounce. They are endangered and almost extinct. There species’ is critical of dying out! Please help and protect them. Thank you!

Siberian huskies have compact furry hair, pointed ears and a bushy tail.
They live in a jungle, in the wild, or in a house.
Siberian huskies are a very hard working dog. They pull sleds. They run around a lot of the time.
Siberian huskies would eat tasty meat like bacon and all different types of meat.
Siberian Huskies originate from Siberia. A huskies behaviour is very fun and energetic. Siberian huskies would rather lick you than bite you. Huskies were bred to pull sled’s and hunt , and in domestic environments.
Overall I think huskies are cute and a hard working dog.

Female Rabbits
Male rabbits are referred to as “bucks” and female rabbits are referred to as “does”.
There is a lot of different types of rabbits but today we are writing about a doe what do you think they do?
A doe likes to sleep. A doe can sleep for 8 hours.
A doe looks very small. A doe’s ears can be 15 cm long. A doe lives underneath the ground in Australia Asia and Africa.
The pet doe lives all around the world.
A doe eats grass, wild flowers, farm crops and their own poop.
In the wild some female rabbits can produce about eight litters of bunnies per year. Rabbits are natural runners and can reach speeds of up to 30 to 40 mph. Baby domestic rabbits are actually born fur-less.
The World’s oldest rabbit on record lived to be 16 years old. The average lifespan of a domesticated rabbit is around 5 to 8 years. Pet rabbits generally live longer than rabbits used for production and those living in the wild.
With the right guidance rabbits can be trained to live indoors perfectly.
In the UK the rabbit is the third most popular pet option. Believe it or not, a rabbit’s teeth never stop growing throughout its life. Rabbits have 28 teeth
Rabbits can jump up to 36 inches or higher. In general rabbits are very clean animals that will groom themselves and even each other.
I hope does don’t ever get extinct.
